soft sugar biscuit recipe?

3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup food or margarine
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 spoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 spoon soda

Strain flour, add baking powder and salt. Cream shortening and sugar, add beaten egg. Assault well, add vanilla. Add soda to buttermilk and commotion. Add flour and buttermilk alternately. Bake astatine 425-450F all for 8 minutes. Drop on sheet by spoon. Sprinkle next to sweetener from shaker. Chill by wire rack. Store with paper
