Does anybody know a easy and good brownie or cookie recipe?

1/2 glass butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 cup chopped nuts

Butter the bottom of a 9X13-inch hot pan.
Melt 1 stick butter in a saucepan.
Remove from heat and add sugar and blend.
